My name is Jeffrey Baker, and I have a background as a musician. I play the trombone (tenor and bass), and I can work my way around a piano, synthesizers, and electric bass. I have a degree in Trombone Performance from Towson University, and a degree in Audio Production from Peabody Conservatory. Most of the [digital] audio I work with is music-based.
After college, I spent six years teaching audio production at the Art Institute of Washington before deciding to spend more time with my children. As a husband and father, my passion for photography and videography has grown (as well as my self-imposed quality standards).
Recently, I taught audio recording at the local community college. I’ve also worked with musical ensembles, as well as the local symphony orchestra, to audio and video record their live performances. And, on Sundays I work the audio and video streaming system at my church.
I’ve been posting content to the web since the mid-90s. I’m obsessed at the way things look online as well as the coding behind the scenes. Presentation of digital media has always mattered to me, which is why I enjoy posting content to the web. Why produce music, photos, or videos if you don’t share them?
Feel free to contact me for any reason.
The name Four-Part Media is a portmanteau of four-part harmony (music written for four voices – soprano, alto, tenor, & bass) and multimedia (of which there are four parts – text, still image, audio, & moving picture).
