Digital Photography

D7100After the birth of my son in 2010, I purchased an entry-level Nikon DSLR. I taught myself how to use it (and not just on “Auto”). I was hooked! I loved the control I had in taking the picture. I loved doing the post-production on the computer.

At first, I started with Adobe Bridge before moving to Lightroom – I needed a good way to organize the accumulating photos, especially after the birth of my daughter. I learned the basics of Bridge, Lightroom, and Photoshop from Lynda.com. There’s also an incredible amount of content on YouTube (product reviews and user guides, etc.)

Over the years, my passion for photography has grown (as well as my self-imposed quality standards). I eventually outgrew my first camera and kit lens. So, along the way, I acquired a few more bodies and a large assortment of lenses. (As well as the seemingly endless accessories.)
